  Kawasaki College of Medical Technology (Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy) was founded in Mizuma,Kaizuka-city,Osaka as a three-year vocational school.

• Apr, 2006

  Osaka Kawasaki Rehabilitation University was founded as a four-year university.

• Mar, 2008

  Kawasaki College of Medical Technology was closed.

• Apr, 2010

  Certified as meeting the educational standards of the Japan Occupational Therapists Association and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).

• Apr, 2018

  Establishment of the Research Center for Cognitive Reserve Power.
  Comprehensive Collaborative Agreement concluded with Kaizuka City.

• Apr, 2022

  Osaka Kawasaki Rehabilitation University Graduate School of Rehabilitation Studies established.

• May, 2024

  Signed a collaboration MOU (Memorandum of understanding) with Hasanuddin University in Indonesia.

• Jul, 2024

  Signed a partnership MOA (Memorandum of agreement) with Mahidol University in Thailand.

• Jul, 2024

  Signed a partnership MOU (Memorandum of understanding) with Chiang Mai University in Thailand.

• Nov, 2025

  Signed a partnership MOU (Memorandum of understanding) with Chung Shan Medical University.

• Apr, 2026

  The name was changed to Izumi University.
  Established the Course of Health Promotion.
